David Shafer

David specializes in sales, leasing, and investment analysis. He focuses on retail and offices properties and is a member of the Commercial Investment Division of the Board of Realtors. He also designs and builds all of the firm's custom advertising materials, including listing packages, postcards, flyers, email blasts, and signage.

David was an Eli Lilly Scholar at Wabash College, where he received his BA in 1987. He earned a PhD from the University of Hawaii in 1998 and has studied at Cornell University and King's College London.

Jennifer Shafer

Jennifer brings expertise in research and data analysis, keeping the firm up to date on market trends and uncovering hidden market opportunities for local and international investors. She leads the firm's Research Department, which uses a data intensive GIS approach to data mine and analyze the market. As a Broker Associate and Investment Analyst, Jennifer specializes in land brokerage and selection and acquisition of investment grade commercial properties. She is a member of the Commercial Investment Division of the Board of Realtors.

Jennifer graduated from Pine View School in Sarasota then received her B.A. from Wellesley College and Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii. In Sarasota, she advises the County Commission as a member of the Environmentally Sensitive Lands Oversight Committee and the Environmental Policy Task Force. In 2008, she lead a SCOPE Environmental Intiative to study Transportation Oriented Design for redevelopment in Sarasota. In 2009, she was appointed Adjunct Professor at New College of Florida where she recently taught a research course in GIS.

Bob Richardson

With almost 40 years of sales and development experience and having trained or mentored many of Sarasota’s leading commercial brokers, Bob Richardson is the name in commercial and industrial real estate in Sarasota.  He founded Richardson Realty in 1972 and within 10 years grew the company to one of the largest brokerages in Sarasota.  He now specializes as a real estate developer, working with just a handful of regular clients on select projects.

Bob is a community business leader, having served as Vice-President and Treasurer Sarasota Jaycees, President Sarasota Board of Realtors - Industrial/Commercial Division, Sarasota City Planning Commission, President Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Charter Class of Leadership Florida, Leadership Florida Board of Regents, Leadership Florida Chairman’s Award and Distinguished Alumnus, Charter Member Argus Foundation, President Downtown Partnership, Member 1000 Friends of Florida. He co-initiated the Coalition for Sarasota’s Future Elected Mayor Campaign. He has served numerous non-profit civic organizations, including Chairman and Board Member Goodwill Industries Manasota, President Harbor Acres Association, President Bay Plaza Association, and Charter Member SCOPE.

His passion remains working to pass on the legacy of a better world through our Environment and our Children. He has served as Founding Member, President and Board Member Friends of Myakka River State Park, Co-Chair Myakka Canopy Walk, Chair of Sarasota-Manatee Group of the Sierra Club, Board Member Florida Sierra Club, Board Member Audubon Society, Member Florida Greenways & Trails Council.  He works to enrich the lives of Florida’s children through education as Board Member Big City Mountaineers, Board Member Florida Center for Children and Youth, President and Founding member Florida Children’s Lobby, and Co-initiator of the Citizens for Better Schools.  He has led eight Big City Mountaineers backpacking trips for Inner City Kids, and Co-Organized a trip to Peru for Boys and Girls, Inc. and Girls Inc.
